PURPOSE:To maximize the use of heat energy of exhaust hot water, by arranging such that the discharge hot water is pumped upwardly from a high temperature tank and recovered again into the cold region of exhaust hot water tank for its backflow into the high temperature tank. CONSTITUTION:An exhaust hot water tank 1 is divided into four units by means of a partition board 2, these four tanks being communicated each other in the vertical direction in a zigzag fashion. An exhaust hot water 6 is first discharged into a primary hot temperature tank 5 and then pumped upwardly from the hot temperature tank 5 with a predetermined temperature difference retained relative to a cold temperature tank 7 provided at other end. The hot water then has its temperature heat-exchanged through a heat exchanger 8 and is recovered to the exhaust hot water tank 1 again. In this recovery, by letting the exhaust hot water 9 recovered to flow out to an area adjacent to the rear of partition board 2, the exhaust hot water 9 recovered with a residual heat energy contained tends to backflow from the upper area of partition board 2 to the primary hot temperature tank 5. The quantity of exhaust hot water exceeding a certain level inside the exhaust hot water tank 1 has its heat energy effectively recovered and then is progressively discharged through the cold tank 7. An operating flow rate is thus selected arbitrarily irrespective of any feed rate and without the need of arranging a large capacity exhaust hot water tank. |
