PURPOSE:To enhance the hue of a color image by coating the surface of a magnetic powder for use in a color image with a colorant using a coupling agent. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a magnetic powder is coated with a colorant using a coupling agent to form a magnetic toner for use in a clor image contg. a resin, a magnetic powder, and a colorant. As the magnetic powder, black and brown magnetic powders and also alloys and compds. contg. a ferromagnetic element, such as Fe, Co, or Ni, can be used. Various kinds of dyes and pigments can be used for the colorant. Since the clorant is fixed to the surface of the magnetic powder with the coupling agent, the hue of a color image can be improved. |
