PURPOSE:To increase the volume of radiation sound and improve low-frequency- range responsibility by selecting the ratio of the mass of the holding frame of a convex plate piezoelectric ceramic speaker and the strength of a spring, and setting the basic frequency of oscillation in spread mode to <=1,100Hz. CONSTITUTION:A frame body 1 for engaging and holding a diaphragm 2 which is made of Pb(Zr-Ti)O3 solid solution ceramic and curved spherically is made of an iron plate in a regular square shape, and the outer circumference of the diaphragm 2 and the outer circumference of the frame body 1 are not similar to each other. The convex plate piezoelectric diaphragm 2 is fitted in the frame body 1, and the engagement part is reinforced with an epoxy adhesive. Lead wires 4 and 4' are soldered to silver electrodes 3 and 3' on both main surfaces of the diaphragm 2. The frame body uses the iron plate having a >=6 specific gravity and has mass >=7 times as large as that of the diaphragm, and the resonance frequency of the holding frame in spread mode is set to <=100Hz, so the low-frequency-range responsibility is improved and the mass is increased. |
