PURPOSE:To prevent toner which is thrown in a developing device from falling out by providing a cover to the conveyance port of the developing device for the developing device for the toner, and holding this cover open when the developing device is set in the machine frame. CONSTITUTION:While the developing device 5 is extracted from the machine frame, the joint parts 7a and 8b of an upper cover 7 and a lower cover 8 are joined together with a spring 12 to close the toner discharge port 6. As the toner discharge port 6 is inserted toward one outer circumference of a photosensitive body along a guide when the developing device 5 is set in the machine frame, a pin 14 provided to the main frame side is inserted into a notch part 13 provided to side plates 7a and 8a of the upper and lower convers 7 and 8, which are then turned upward and downward around a shaft 11 as a fulcrum against the elastic force of the spring 12 to open when approaching gradually toward the shaft 11 from the cut part 13 to between the side plates 7a and 8a; when the setting is completed, the toner discharge port 6 is opened and a magnetic brush 10 is exposed. |
