<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate the effect of wear of a shaft at the transmission of a signal by modulating an output signal of a signal generating circuit mounted in a steering and also superimposing the signal on a power of a power line to transmit the result into a steering column tube. CONSTITUTION:A bearing 18 supporting a steering shaft 12 is supported via an insulator 22 and other bearing is connected electrically. Further, one power line is connected to the shaft 12, the other power line is connected to the bearing 18, the power supply and a resistor 46 for fetecting modulation signal are connected in series and the connection assembly is mounted at the outside of the tube, each bearing is connected across the series connection of the resistor 46 and the power supply 48, a power is fed to each power supply line, and a circuit 52 demodulating a modulation signal detected by the resistor 46 is mounted at the outside of the tube.</p> |
