PURPOSE:To obtain the titled molded body that is produced with simple machining operation and is useful as a sealed terminal or the like that will be used for taking out a conductor of an oil-filled transformer, by cutting a metal rod by a bite so that the metal rod has barbs, and molding a resin on the metal rod. CONSTITUTION:A metal rod A is machined by a bite C to have threads as shown at S, S and knurled sections as shown at R, R, and after the intermediate section (n) is cut by an automatic lathe or the like, a resin E such as an epoxy resin or the like is applied to the cut intermediate section of the machined rod A. Further, the machined rod A is set in a mold, and the mold is filled with a premix P of an unsaturated polyester resin or the like to obtain the intended molded item. It is desirable that the cutting is carried out using the bite C having the tip with an angle of 10-90 deg., the circumferential speed of the rotation of the metal rod A is 10-300m/min, and the feed speed of the bit C is 50- 500mm./min. |
