PURPOSE:To control easily and inexpensively the concn. of cane sugar by detecting the specific gravity of an aq. cane sugar soln. from the rate of floating and sinking of a float. CONSTITUTION:When a valve 5 is opened and a pump 7 is driven continuously or intermittently to feed an aq. cane sugar soln. to the inside of a detecting tank 2 through a pipeline 4, a float 8 sinks or floats according to the concn. of the cane sugar of said aq. soln. An operating lever 14 turns correspondingly and therefore the position of the lever 14 is read with a scale plate 15, by which the concn. of the aq. cane sugar soln. can be detected from the specific gravity thereof. Switches 16a, 16b, 16c are operated in the positions of 20%, 40% and 60% concn. to trigger an alarm such as a buzzer, thereby announcing the concn. to the operator and controlling the heating of a heating kettle 1. The heating is stopped in the case of 60% and the operation such as adding cane sugar to the kettle 1 or the like is performed in the case of 20% or 40%. The preparation of the sirup having a specified concn. is thus made possible. |
