The invention relates to a method for assembling longitudinal profiled parts end to end and the assembly resulting from the implementation of the method. According to the invention, in order to assemble two profiled parts 1 and 2 end to end, two rectilinear grooves 3, 4, 5, 6 are made over the entire length of the profiled parts 1 and 2, the narrow end edges of the profiled parts 1 and 2 to be assembled are coated with glue, the glued faces are applied against each other placing the profiled parts end to end, the profiled parts are immobilised by inserting a joining clip 8 and 9 in the grooves 3, 4, 5 and 6 arranged astride the two profiled parts 1 and 2. The invention will particularly find its application in the wood industry and especially in kits intended for DIY enthusiasts. <IMAGE>
