PURPOSE:To prevent a hob blade from being lifted up by cutting force, by inclining a blade clamping groove, as it enters inside from the outer periphery of a hob body, toward the rear side of the rotational direction of the hob body. CONSTITUTION:A blade clamping groove 1b is formed to incline, as it enters inside from the outer periphery of a hob body 1, toward the rear side of the rotational direction of the hob body 1 indicated by the arrow R by a predetermined angle 8 with respect to the radial direction of the hob body 1. A blade 2 is attached thereto by inserting its shank 2b into the groove. If cutting force F acting on the cutting point B is resolved into a component force A in the direction of the depth of the groove 1b and a component force B in the direction perpendicular to it, the component force A acts in the direction to press the blade 2 against the body 1, whereby the blade 2 can be prevented from being lifted up by the cutting force F. |
