The mill without a grille comprises a milling turbine 1 constituted by hammers 3 which are mounted at one end on a shaft 2 rotatably driving them and are formed flat with an external head 4 flattened and spiralled to the left on one side of the sleeve and to the right on the other side, and counter-hammers 7 mounted removably on the inside of the envelope 6; a ventilation and evacuation turbine 10 with a spindle parallel to that of the mill is equipped with blades 12 whose external edge is substantially tangential to an output orifice 9 made in the envelope 6; pulleys 14, 15 drive the spindles 2, 11 of the turbines by a belt 16 from a motor or power take-off. This mill mills the damp ears harvested before ripening without plugging up; its simplicity renders it very economical. <IMAGE>
