PURPOSE:To prevent the leakage of magnetism by providing an edge collar at a part of a nonmagnetic case in an engaging tool utilizing a permanent magnet and providing a gap between the outer peripheral surface of the magnet and the case. CONSTITUTION:An engaging hole 1a is opened from one pole face toward the other pole face in a permanent magnet 1. A ferromagnetic plate 2 is mounted on one pole face of the magnet 1, and a ferromagnetic plate 7 having a hole communicating with the hole 1a is mounted on the other pole face. The magnet 1 and the plates 2, 7 are engaged with the a cylindrical nonmagnetic case 6 with a bottom, and are integrated with a connecting piece 6c of the opening edge of the case. The case 6 has a hole communicating with the hole 1a. The collar 6b of the hole edge is engaged with the opening edge of the hole 1a, thereby forming uniform magnetic gap between the outer peripheral surface of the magnet 1 and the case 6. Further, the case 6 has an edge collar 6a formed by bending along the outer peripheral edge of the plate 7, thereby preventing the lateral displacement of the male stopper. |
