System for transmitting digitised sound broadcasting signals in a 1074-bit time-division multiplex frame having a data flow of 34, 368 Mbit per second, corresponding to a tertiary PCM system which permits 32 stereo or 64 mono sound broadcasting signals, including parity protection bit and identification character, as well as a synchronisation word and two signalling words to be transmitted.
