PURPOSE:To improve the workability in production and mechanical strength of a product by providing a pair of right and left rugged engaging parts along both side edges of an opening for mounting an optical fiber provided in the longitudinal direction of a pipe and mounting the optical fiber in the pipe through the opening then fitting and detaining the recess and projecting part along both side edges in the opening of the pipe. CONSTITUTION:A pair of right and left rugged engaging parts 7 and 8 are provided in the opening 6 of a pipe 1 along both side edges thereof and after an optical fiber 2 is mounted into the pipe 1 through said opening 6, the pipe 1 is passed through a die to close the opening 6 and the recess 7 and projecting part 8 along both side edges of the opening of the pipe 1 are fitted and detained, by which the need for welding the seam of the pipe 1 is eliminated. The working efficiency in producing this kind of a product is improved and moreover the need for exercising care for preventing the damage of the fiber 2 housed in the pipe 1 in the stage of welding the seam thereof is eliminated. |
