The invention relates to a fuel injection valve with a disc-shaped valve element, which is composed of magnetisable material and can be raised from a valve seat element in order to release the flow of fuel through the injection valve. The movement of the valve element is produced by triggering of an excitation winding. The valve seat element is composed of a plastic material, which has the advantage that magnetic interference is avoided, manufacture simplified and cavitation damage reduced to a minimum.
