It is proposed to provide an end piece for an elongate IC magazine (1), which end piece is formed from a sleeve (5) which is slidable on an end portion of the elongate magazine, grips around the latter at least partially and has a deflectable spring element (6) which closes the opening of the magazine chamber in the undeflected state at least to the extent that the ICs located in the magazine chamber are prevented from coming out, and which spring element allows the ICs to come out in the state deflected counter to the spring force. Instead of a sleeve which can be pushed on, a deflectable spring element can also be moulded, preferably integrally, onto at least one of the end portions. The end piece or the elongate IC magazine with the moulded-on spring element can be combined with an IC separating insertion part which can be pushed onto the end portion of the elongate magazine and projects beyond the end of the elongate magazine. The separating insertion part has a lateral removal opening whose length is equal to or slightly larger than the ICs located in the elongate magazine. Furthermore, the separating insertion part is provided with a manually actuable deflection element for the spring element.
