PURPOSE:To impart deterioration of an image bearing belt to all the length of the belt uniformly, and to enhance its durability by setting the length necessary for one cycle of image formation and display to 'one divided by noninteger' of the total length of the belt. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive belt 8 begins to rotate in the direction of the arrow C, and the moving speed of the belt 8 is stabilized and writing by exposing the belt 8 to laser beams is started, and the belt 8 moves by la from the start of rotation to the start of writing. The distance of the belt 8 movement from the exposure point A to the farthest end 3a (point B) of the window 3 is lb, that is, the distance between points A and B. The sum l of la and lb is the distance of the belt movement in one cycle of image formation and display, and l/L is set to one divided by noninteger, where L is the total length of the belt 8. The absolute position of the photosensitive belt 8 in the effective display region shifts by the distance corresponding to the decimal part of said noninteger at each rotation of the belt 8 by setting the point A. |
