PURPOSE:To attain a high speed printing by a constitution wherein a heat generating element is plated with a nickel electroless plating film, thereby a dispersion of resistance value is minimized and also a high wear resistance is attained. CONSTITUTION:To a resistor unit 2 constituted of an electroless nickel plated film on a substrate 1 of glass or the like, a thermal head with a common electrode made of Au or the like connected with a separate electrode 4, is fixed in a recess 6 of a circuit substrate 5. Further, a conducting circuit 7 is connected with a common electrode 4, and a conducting circuit 8 is connected with another electrode 4 respectively by solders 9 and 10. Because a hardness of an electroless nickel film is so hard as 1,100 in hardness, a film with uniform thickness is formed on a substrate of glass or the like, accordingly, a heat generating unit with a minimum dispersion of resistance can be obtained, for example, at an interval of 4-5 dots by a etching treatment. |
