A packaging insert for use in packing objects 2 in boxes or similar containers 17 has an open cavity 1 to accommodate an object 2, the cavity also largely corresponding in shape to the external shape of the object on that side which is to face inwards against the packaging insert. Projections, which in the position of use are designed to bear against surface parts of the object in question facing away from the packaging insert, are formed along the outer edge of the cavity 1, and the packaging insert is moreover designed to flex in such a way that outside the box in question it permits movement of the projections 4-7 away from the moving path of the object as it is being placed in and/or removed from the cavity. This packaging insert permits secure retention of the object in question in a box without the use of additional packaging inserts and also the open box with contents to be placed in any desired position for display purposes, without the risk of the object slipping out of the cavity 1. <IMAGE> |
