PURPOSE:To prevent a paper from jamming at a roller and facilitate skewing the paper and adjusting the right and left positions of the paper when setting the paper in a paper release condition, by a method wherein members having guide surfaces substantially parallel to a press surface of a paper-feeding roller are provided at both sides of the roller. CONSTITUTION:The guide members 13 are provided at both sides of the paper- feeding roller 9, and have the guide surfaces substantially parallel to the press surface of the roller 9. Namely, the guide members 13 have curved surfaces having a diamerter comparable with that of the roller 9, are loosely fitted coaxially with the roller 9, and are fixed respectively to side plates 14 so that they are not restricated by the rotation of the roller 9. Paper-passing surfaces constituting the guide surfaces of the guide members 13 are smooth and have a small coefficient of friction. Accordingly, in the paper release condition where pinch rollers 10 are separated from the roller 9, skewing of the paper and adjustment of the right and left positions of the paper are smoothly performed. |
