A device for transporting aircraft into and out of the hangar with the aid of a transportation vehicle which can be loaded via ramp-like inclined surfaces is characterised in that the transportation vehicle (T) for a helicopter (HS) having skids (K) has two longitudinal supports (1) with rollers (2) or sliding coatings (18) in order to hold the helicopter skids (K) in a manner which reduces friction, the longitudinal supports (1) in each case having a bogey wheel (5) and, at the front, a double winch (6) and a lifting device (4) on lateral supports (3) which are supported by one or two controllable bogey wheels (25), so that, in outline, a U-shaped chassis is formed which is open at the rear. <IMAGE>
