PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of wrinkle, air bubbles, delamination, etc., by a method in which a specific plastic layer having a specific shearing strength at a high temperature at which maximum contraction is exhibited is laminated with a hot-bonding adhesive layer composed primarily of an elastomer. CONSTITUTION:A bridged plastic layer having a thermal contractibility such as to offset thermal expansion based on linear expansion coefficient when heat- processed, with a thermal contraction rate of 3-30%, is laminated with a hot- bonding adhesive layer composed primarily of an elastomer, having a shearing strength of 0.001-0.05kg/cm<2> at a high temperature at which the bridged plastic layer exhibits a maximum thermal contractibility. Since the protective outer plastic layer is a plastic layer having a low-thermal contraction rate, the thermo- shrinkable covering material is not broken by melting even when heated in covering operation, and also is free of wrinkles, air bubbles, etc., because thermal expansibility of the bridged plastic layer is balanced with the thermal contractibility when it is partly contacted with surface of an object to be covered. |
