PURPOSE:To remove effectively dust, etc., sticking to a magnetic tape and prevent the generation of a dropout, etc. in advance by providing a head part which records and reproduces a signal on and from the magnetic tape and a tape cleaning member which contacts the magnetic tape through the 2nd through hole positioned at an upstream side in a tape run direction. CONSTITUTION:The tape cleaning member 124 is inserted into one of a couple of erasing head through holes 173 and 174, i.e. hole 173 on the upstream side of the tape run to a combination head part 123, and the edge part 168 of its tape cleaning member 167 is brought into contact with the magnetic tape 169. A reel turntable 113 is rotated counterclockwise and capstans 114 and 115 are rotated counterclockwise to run the magnetic tape 169 at a constant speed as shown by an arrow C. At this time, the edge part 168 of the tape cleaning member 167 removes unnecessary sticking matter such as the dust and scrape of the magnetic material from the magnetic tape 169, which reaches a head part 123. |
