The invention relates to a suspension grip for the double contact line of electrical traction units fed by overhead lines. So that the two contact lines rest on the collector shoe with the same contact pressing force over their entire length and so that the contact pressing forces on the two contact lines are made independent in particular of the elevation of the track and the geometry of the pantograph wearing strip, according to the invention a single-component or multi-component balance bar (10) which is held by a suspension structure is provided, said balance bar (10) being swivellable about a pivot point (12) arranged in the central area, bearing at the side in each case one or more contact lines (1) and automatically adjusting itself with respect to the height differences between the contact areas of the pantograph wearing strip, the torques of the balance bar (10) being of the same size as the product of the lever arm and the proportionate weight of the contact line. The advantages reside in the increase in the service life by reducing wear, in the reduction of the formation of light arcs at the contact points and a simplification of assembly accommpanied by an increase in operational reliability. <IMAGE>
