PURPOSE:A material for providing a molded article having extremely improved heat resistance, high Charpy impact resistance, and extremely improved sliding properties, obtained by blending a novolak phenolic resin with specific polyvinyl alcohol fibers and graphite. CONSTITUTION:(A) 30-60wt% novolak phenolic resin having at least 650 number-average molecular weight is blended with (B) 2-45wt% polyvinyl alcohol having >=6.0g/denier tensile strength, and (C) 5-40wt% graphite. A novolak phenolic resin having 800-1,500 molecular weight is preferable as the component A. The component B has preferably >=7.5g/denier tensile strength and 1-6mm fiber length. |
