PURPOSE:To enable inspection of the quality of a laser welded part by a non- destructive method by exerting parallel external force to the welded surface of a laser-welded member and measuring the displacement of the welded member. CONSTITUTION:A cathode 1 of an electronic gun part is passed through the hole of an eyelet 2a and is placed on a pallet pin 5 in the stage of welding the cathode 1 and the eyelet 2a by a laser. A cathode pusher 8 is then lowered to push downward the cathode 1 and the pin 5 against a spring 6. When the prescribed position of the cathode 1 is detected with an air micrometer 7, the descending of the pusher 8 is stopped and a welding point 9 is laser-welded. When the pusher 8 is retreated upward upon ending of the welding, the force of the spring 6 acts as the force for pushing up the cathode 1 and displacement DELTAH is generated by the spring force of a weld zone 10. If the DELTAH is measured with the air micrometer 7, the quality of the weld zone 10 is non-destructively inspected. |
