PURPOSE:To improve efficiency without damaging the life properties while separating convection in the outside tube up and down for reducing the temperature difference between the coldest point and the highest point on the wall of a luminous tube by providing a horizontally lighting lamp with a phototransmissive plate separating the inside of the outside tube up and down centering around the luminous tube. CONSTITUTION:A phototransmissive plate 6 is horizontally provided at the center up and down in the outside tube 3 having its respective ends close to the outside wall of a luminous tube 1 and the inside wall of the outside tube 3 for separating the space up and down in the outside tube 3. The metal holding plates 7a and 7b are fixed to a holding frame 10 for holding the phototransmissive plate 6. The lamp base 4, for instance, is made into the plug-in type having two projecting terminals 8a and 8b differnet each other in thickness and the splits 9 provided on the lamp base 4 for positioning the phototransmissive plate 6 always horizontally while for not positioning the intermediate holding frame connecting the right and left holding frames downward. Further, the end part of the luminous tube 1 is not provided with an insulating film, while the enclosed part 1a forming the sealed space part of the luminous tube 1 is made of a phototransmissive construction able to take out emitting output except the electrode lead part. |
