PURPOSE:To obtain an image pickup device where pictures of plural different wavelength bands are obtained with high resolution by providing a wavelength time division filter separating a signal into different wavelength bands to the front face of a solid-state image pickup element. CONSTITUTION:Each wavelength band is selected from an optical image formed on a solid-state image pickup element 3 by an optical system 1 by means of a rotary wavelength time division filter 2 in synchronizing with each frame of the solid-state image pickup element 3. Thus, a picture signal output of the solid- state image pickup element 3 becomes a picture signal of a wavelength band different from each frame and is converted into a TV signal at each wavelength band through an A/D converter 4 and a signal processing circuit 8. The picture signal at each wavelength band is used as a signal for processing picture to extract the characteristic of an object and is observed by monitors 9, 10 and 11. |
