PURPOSE:To measure exactly fibrinogen and fibrin decomposition product (FDP) by using an antibody suppressing reaction by combining the protein antigen to be coated on a carrier and an antibody reagent so that only the antibody for the common antigen of fibrinogen and FDP contributes to the reaction system. CONSTITUTION:Anti-fibrinogen is used for an antibody used in a neutral phase when FDP is coated on a carrier and an anti-FDP antibody is used when fibrinogen is coated on the carrier. The antigen-antibody system inherent to protein in addition to the common antigen-antibody system for protein contribute to the antigen-antibody reaction reacting in the neutral phase and even if the antibody corresponding to the antigen inherent to protein remains as surplus, the protein has no antigen corresponding to the surplus antibody and therefore no reaction arises consequently and the reaction by only the common antigen-antibody system for protein is detected as the amt. of the FDP. The difference in reactivity decreases considerably with fibrinogen and FDP and the amt. of the FDP is correctly converted as the antigen amt. of the fibrinogen. |
