PURPOSE:To obtain the title product capable of obtaining somber metal color tone, by dyeing the button or the like, which is formed of a thermoplastic synthetic resin containing a gloss material such as a metal powder as a base material by injection molding, with a dye, and partially abrading the surface dyed layer thereof by barrel polishing. CONSTITUTION:A thermoplastic synthetic resin containing a gloss material such as a metal powder, a metal foil or a pearl foil is used as a base material and formed into a molded article such as a button, an eyelet, a buckle or a snap by injection molding. In the next step, the molded article is dyed with a desired color to form a dyed layer 2 to the surface part thereof. At the last step, when the dyed layer 2 is subjected to barrel polishing, the protruded parts or angular parts of the molded article are abraded in an early stage and base part 3 of the thermoplastic resin and the dyed layer 2 are formed to the surface part. By this method, delicate colroing effect due to a shade of color is obtained and somber metal color tone is developed to the surface part of the molded article to obtain a desired product. |
