PURPOSE:To obtain an underwater cutting type granulater free from variation of the parallelism due to thermal deformation between the die and the cutter edge by connecting the head with the cutter unit by a special method through a water chamber. CONSTITUTION:An underwater cutting type granulater consist mainly of a head 2, a die 4, a water chamber 1 and a cutter unit 3 holding rotatively a cutter edge 25. The die 4 is screwed by the bolt 23 in the head 2 and the water chamber 1 is screwed by the bolt 24 in the head 2 to fix them respectively. Four projections 11, 12 are provided on the cutter unit 3 and the head and both of them are fixed with tie rods 5. The seal plate 14 fixed to the cutter unit is inserted into the fitting part 13a on the cutter unit side of the water chamber 1 and a clearance A is provided between them both and sealed with the O-ring 15. A perforating hole 6 is provided in the center of each tie rod 5 to let fluid flow at a constant temperature. |
