PURPOSE:To easily obtain a current supply thermal transfer recording head, by a method wherein a large number of grooves are provided to both surfaces of a metal plate and insulating coated metal wires are inserted into said grooves while separate metal plates are pressed and fixed from both sides thereof and the gaps between the metal plates are filled with a conductive adhesive. CONSTITUTION:In preparing a recording head having a recording electrode group and return electrodes for supplying a current and generating heat in a state contacted with a current supply heat generating ink sheet, a large number of grooves are respectively provided to both surfaces of a metal plate 15 at equal intervals so as to be mutually shifted at every half pitch in both surfaces and insulating layer coated metal wires 201 are inserted into said grooves while separate metal plates 16, 17 are respectively pressed and fixed to the metal plate 15 from both sides thereof and the spaces between the metal plates 15, 16, 17 and the coated metal wires are filled with a conductive adhesive or pasty solder 14 to form a head. The metal wires are used as recording electrodes and the metal plates 15-16 and the filling parts 14 are used as return electrodes. |
