PURPOSE:To enable quick removal of dehydrated cake and automation of operation of a vertical centrifugal filter by pasting a double-layered cylindrical filter cloth adhered at each upper edges and bottom edges to each other and expansive to a doughnut shape by the supply of pressurized fluid, to the inside periphery of a basket screen. CONSTITUTION:A double-layered cylindrical filter cloth 3 which is adhered at each upper edges and bottom edges of the inside and outside cloths to each other and is made expansive to a doughnut shape by the supply of pressurized fluid is used in a centrifugal filter for filtering untreated liquid by rotating a basket screen 6 around a central shaft line wherein the filter cloth 3 is pasted to the inside periphery of the basket screen 6. In this constitution, when the rotation of the basket screen 6 is stopped and compressed air is fed to the inside of the double layered filter cloth 3 through a joint pipe 3-3, the inside filter cloth 3-1 is expanded toward inside to a doughnut shape, and dehydrated cake accumulated and solidified on the surface of the filter cloth is crushed and stripped off and is dropped by its own weight, and is discharged to the outside through a discharge port 12 of the cake. In this way, removal of dehydrated cake is performed quickly and the operation of the centrifugal filter is automated. |
