<p>PURPOSE:To cool and absorb a waste gas in a single tower, and to eliminate the mixing of dust, etc. into a liquid absorbent by providing a cooling liquid spray nozzle and a cooling liquid receiving vessel on the upstream side of the waste gas in a main body of a tower and a liquid absorbent spray nozzle and a liquid absorbent receiving vessel on the downstream side. CONSTITUTION:A waste gas 2 is introduced into an absorption tower 38, and a cooling liquid is sprayed from a spray nozzle 36 on the upstream side to cool and to remove dust. The liquid is recovered by a receiving vessel 48, collected in a tank 54, and reused by circulation. Then a liquid absorbent is sprayed from a spray nozzle 30 to remove SO2 by absorption. The liquid is collected by a receiving vessel 44, recovered in a tank part 34 at the lower part of the tower through a recovery duct 46, and returned to the upper part of the tower to be reused by circulation. Since cooling and dust removal are carried out separately from desulfurization, dust and impurities in the waste gas are not mixed into the liquid absorbent. Accordingly the deterioration of performance of the liquid absorbent can be prevented, and the quality of by-product can be improved.</p> |
