The invention relates to novel azolyl-olefin derivatives of the general formula I <IMAGE> (I) wherein R1 is an azolyl group, R2 is C1-C12alkyl, C3-C8cycloalkyl, C1-C4alkyl substituted by unsubstituted or substituted phenyl, C1-C4alkoxycarbonyl or C2-C6alkenyl, or is C3-C8cycloalkyl which is substituted by 1 to 4 C1-C4alkyl groups, R3 is C1-C12alkyl, C3-C8cycloalkyl which is substituted by 1 to 4 C1-C4alkyl groups, or is the -C(R4)(R5)-[CH(R4)]n-X-R6 group, wherein n is 0 or 1 and R4 and R5, each independently of the other, are hydrogen or C1-C4alkyl, X is oxygen or sulfur, R6 is a radical selected from the group consisting of C1-C8alkyl, C3-C8cycloalkyl, C3-C6alkenyl, C3-C6alkynyl, phenyl, naphthyl, biphenyl, benzylphenyl, benzoxyphenyl, phenoxyphenyl and aralkyl, which radical is substituted by one or more of halogen, cyano, C1-C4alkyl, C1-C5alkoxy, C1-C5haloalkoxy, C1-C3alkylthio, C1-C3haloalkyl, C1-C3haloalkylthio, nitro, -COOR7 or -CON(R8)(R9), wherein R7 is C1-C4alkyl and R8 and R9, each independently of the other, are hydrogen or C1-C4alkyl, and the acid addition salts quaternary azolium salts and metal complexes thereof. The invention also describes methods of preparing these compounds as well as agrochemical compositions which contain one of said compounds as active ingredient. The invention further describes a method of controlling phytopathogenic microorganisms and/or of regulating plant growth which comprises the use of the novel compounds.
