PURPOSE:To position correctly an original even if the end part of the original is placed in the end part of an original placing surface in the side opposite to that corresponding to the advance direction of a photosensitive belt, by changing the timing of feeding of a transfer paper from a resist roll in accordance with the original size. CONSTITUTION:For the purpose of making the operation easy, an original 41 is placed on a platen glass 4 so that the original strikes an end part 40 more distant from a form eject tray 24. Then, since the position of the front end of a face 42 where the image of the original is projected on a photosensitive belt 1 is changed in accordance with the original size, the timing at which a transfer paper 10 is fed from a resist roll 21 is changed in accordance with the original size to make the front end of the toner image on the photosensitive belt 1 and that of the transfer paper 10 coincident with each other correctly. The original size is discriminated on a basis of a transfer paper size selected by the operator. |
