PURPOSE:To make it possible to judge the capacity of deodorization of a deodorizing filter of an air cleaner, by providing a gas sensor before and behind the deodorizing filter respectively. CONSTITUTION:In an air cleaner 1, when a fan 3 is operated, air is drawn from the direction of an arrow A and passed through an urethane sheet filter on which active carbon being applied 2a and an urethane sheet filter impregnated with deodorant on which active carbon being applied 2b to be cleaned and discharged to the direction of an arrow B, where a difference in the output of gas sensors 5a and 5b located before and behind the deodorizing filter is detected by a comparing means 6 and read by means of a displaying means 7 to find the efficiency of deodorization of the deodorizing filter. That makes it possible to determine instantly and easily the time to replace the deodorizing filter, so that the air cleaner can be effectively used. |
