FORMING DIE FOR WARM FOMING PRESS

PURPOSE:To improve dimensional accuracy of formed parts by setting recessed and projecting wedgelike positioners between a die and a blank holder and between a pad and a lower die set and guiding an upper and a lower die by guide posts. CONSTITUTION:A wedgelike projecting part 23 and an opposite groove part 24 are set so that a die 16 and a blank holder 15 face each other in the low dead point state. A pad 14 and a lower die set 19 are guided by a guide pin 25 roughly and a projecting part 26 and a recessed groove part 27 are formed on the pad 14 and the die set 19, respectively. A blank 28 on the die 16 is heated by heating every press part through a heating element. The upper and lower dies are positioned by a lower die guide post 21 and an upper die guide bush when the press moves down. The blank 28 is pressed by the blank holder 15 by further down movement of the press and wedgelike positioners 23, 24 and 26, 27 position the dies accurately in the lower dead point state. Therefore, a shift of the dies caused by thermal expansion is prevented to improve the dimensional accuracy of formed parts.
