PURPOSE:To improve starting performance and to protect the apparatus from dust and rain water, by connecting the turning shafts of a generator and an internal combustion engine with a recoil starter disposed respectively on the upper side and the lower side of a box-like casing operatively by a power transmitting member, and attaching a door cover to the portion of the box-like casing facing a starter of the internal combustion engine. CONSTITUTION:A frame-like support plate 2 opened at its front and rear portions is plated and fixed in a longitudinal box-like casing 1 together with a vibration-damping rubber, and an engine 3 with a recoil starter 302 is mounted on a lower piece 202 constituting the lower support plate of said support plate 2. Here, arrangement is such that the recoil starter 302 is disposed to expose at the front of the casing 1 and a recoil starter knob 304 is exposed to the outside by opening a lower front cover 107 which opens and closes the lower half of the front face of the casing 1. Further, a generator 4 is mounted on an upper piece 201 constituting the upper support plate of the support plate 2, and a belt 503 is passed around pulleys 502 fixed respectively to the output shaft of the engine 3 and the input shaft of the generator 4 so as to enable to transmit the driving force. |
