INTERMITTENT RECORDING METHOD

PURPOSE:To attain intermittent recording having a complete tape format by conducting forward N-frame feeding and reverse (N-1)-frame feeding and recording a video signal at one frame section during the forward feeding. CONSTITUTION:The intermittent recording is conducted by repeating the operation to record for one frame's share during forward 2-frame feeding halt reverse one-frame feeding halt. A 1/2 frequency-division circuit 11 and a changeover switch 12 inputs the 2nd control signal at forward 2-frame and the 1st control signal at reverse 1-frame to a slow tracking monostable multivibrator 13 respectively. The forward/reverse feeding is realized by inverting a drive direction changeover circuit 17 from a timing control circuit 10. The intermittent picture recording is attained by generating the timing for one frame's share at the forward 2-frame feeding at the circuit 10 and controlling an output of a recording circuit 5 at a gate 6 so as to record a signal with a video head.
