PURPOSE:To obtain synthetic leather like modified suede, having a combination of coloring effect and change in state, by thinning and/or shortening partially a fluff layer on the surface of synthetic leather like ordinary suede consisting of extremely fine yarn, dyeing it in a dark or different color. CONSTITUTION:A fiber substrate consisting of nonwoven fabric, knitted or woven cloth, etc. is impregnated with an elastic polymer such as polyurethane, etc., integrated, the surface is processed into plush, to give the synthetic leather 1 like suede having the plush fiber 2 consisting of <=0.5d extremely fine fiber. The synthetic leather is printed by the use of printing paste containing an agent (e.g., acid, etc. for nylon fibers, alkalizing agent for polyester, etc.) to dissolve or to damage the fluff fiber 2, and dye to dye the extremely fine fiber and the elastic polymer, heat-treated, the fluff fiber is further thinned, shortened 3, the fluff layer is provided with the dent effect 4, and the dent part is made to show color differentiating effect, to give synthetic leather like modified suede which has never been found conventionally. |
