PURPOSE:To shorten a transaction time, and also to shorten a waiting time of a customer by providing a customer detecting means for detecting the approach of a customer to a transaction device, and a circuit connecting part to start the connection of an exchange circuit to a central processing unit basing on the output from its detecting means. CONSTITUTION:An operation guide display part is provided on the front part 3 of a housing 1 of a transaction device, and a card outlet and inlet 6 for taking in and out a transaction medium, paper money outlet and inlet 7 and a customer detecting means 9 are provided on the front part 5 of the housing 1. Also, a control part connected to a card processing mechanism, slip processing mechanism, paid paper money processing mechanism, the operation guide display part 4 and an internal monitor is provided on the transaction device. A circuit connecting part of this control part is connected to a central processing unit, maintenance transmission and reception processing device, and a guard transmission and reception device. In this state, when the means 9 detects the approach of a customer, under the control of the control part, the connecting part starts to connect the central processing unit and the transaction device by its output, and a transaction time and a waiting time of a customer are shortened. |
