PURPOSE:To obtain stable abrasion performance and improve the durability by sticking abrasive grains or polishing grains only to the convex section of a non-woven fabric mat having a pressed rugged pattern and recovering the convex section softened and temporarily tightened and not containing abrasive grains, etc. to its original status before pressurization. CONSTITUTION:A web is formed with complex fibers, etc., e.g., nylon 6, polyester, separately or mixedly; a thermoplastic resin binding agent such as acryl is scattered and stuck and temporarily tightened to obtain a synthetic fiber non-woven fabric, which is pressed by a heating emboss roll to temporarily stick fibers together; then a non-woven fabric mat with a rugged patterns is formed with a recessed section 2 temporarily tightened and having an area of 5-20% and a convex section 3. Next, the mat is impregnated with Alundum, etc. and a resin binding agent containing commercial abrasive grains or polishing grains; abrasive grains, etc. are selectively contained and stuck to the fiber interior of the convex section 3; and abrasive grains, etc. are rarely contained in the recessed section 2 and are slightly stuck only to the surface to form a non- woven fabric mat. It is further dried and heated to release the temporay adhesion on the recessed section, the original thickness is recovered, then a non-woven fabric abrasive 1 having a section B containing abrasive grains and a section not containing them is formed. |
