PURPOSE:To improve productivity by constructing a unit in such a way that after carrying out an edge preparation for a material to be machined which is sent in a defined position by means of a carrying-in conveyor, a cutting device is retracted upward to deliver the machined material to a carrying-out conveyor by means of a relay conveyor. CONSTITUTION:A material (m) to be machined is clamped D in a defined position in the front of a machining unit A by means of a carrying-in conveyor C1, carrying out a certain edge preparation. Then, cutters 50a, 50b are retracted and, at the same time, the clamping device D is released, and the carrying-in conveyor C1 is slightly moved and reversed, drawing back the machining material (m). After that, the machining material (m) is hung up and turned over to equally carry out edge preparation on the other side. A cutting device B is then retracted upward by means of a retracted means E. At the same time, a relay conveyor C3 is rotated horizontally, connecting the carrying-in conveyor C1 with a carrying-out conveyor C2, to deliver the machined material (m) on the conveyor C1 to the carrying-out conveyor C2. Due to this construction, the operation efficiency can be improved. |
