PURPOSE:To prevent a blast furnace gas compressor from a decrease of its performance, by driving a coke oven gas compressor through a driving source different from that of the blast furnace gas compressor. CONSTITUTION:A blast furnace gas compressor 1, which is connected with a gas turbine 8, compresses blast furnace gas from a gas pipe 14 to be supplied to a combustor 7. A coke oven gas compressor 3, which is connected with a separate driving source 4, compresses coke oven gas from a gas pipe 15 to be supplied to the combustor 7. In this way, the blast furnace gas compressor can be prevented from decreasing its performance by enabling tar and naphthalene in the coke oven gas to be prevented from adhering to the blast furnace gas compressor.
