PURPOSE:To make it possible to easily set an ink ribbon without contaminating the hand, by providing a pair of left and right operation bodies for guiding shaft shaped ribbon guides and tension ribbon guides to both sides of a printing part in a freely revolvable manner. CONSTITUTION:When a projection piece 23 is pulled to leftwardly rotate an operation lever 20 around a support shaft 14, the slide shafts 16 of a slide plate 17 are pulled to rotate operation bodies 8 and ribbon guides 9 are separated from a platen 4 while tension ribbon guides 10 approach to said platen 4 and, therefore, an ink ribbon 25 can be set in an almost straight state without manually bending the same. In the next step, when the hand is released from the projection piece 23, the operation lever 20 is revolved to the side of the platen 4 by a torsion spring 15 and further the operation bodies 8 also revolves while the guides 9 approach to the platen 4 and the guides 10 are sparced apart therefrom to bend the ink ribbon 25, and to impart tension thereto. Because the operation bodies 8 are energized to the ribbon bonding direction by the spring 15, the looseness of the ribbon can be prevented. By this method, the ink ribbon can be set without contaminating the hand. |
