The material being treated is homogenised, cleaning out extraneous substances, after which it is dried and the cellulose then partially hydrolysed to convert it to meal with moisture content of 10% max. The process is carried out in a reactor under 0-3 kg pressure at 100-150 deg.C for 0-5 hrs. The process is assisted by injection of air at differing temps. at various times, and pre-treatment at a medium temp. before entering the reactor. |
