PURPOSE:To produce a cylindrical battery with superior liquid-leakage resistance by providing the upper flat section of the positive ring with an annular connecting section which is pressed against the inner periphery of the lower end of a gasket. CONSTITUTION:The upper flat section 4' of a positive ring 3' is provided with an annular connecting section 13, which is pressed against the inner periphery 12 of the lower end of a gasket. Owing to the annular connecting section 13, the strength of the flat section 4' of a positive ring 3' is reinforced. In addition, any sinking of the end of the flat section 4' which was conventionally caused due to pressure during sealing is prevented preventing the sealing pressure from escaping, thereby maintaining the flat section 4' in the horizontal state. |
