PURPOSE:To compare a signal at a high speed by slicing an input signal by using a level shifting circuit, and fetching each slice level by using an invertor. CONSTITUTION:When an input wave is applied to a terminal 1, it is amplified by an FET F1 using an FET F2 as a load, and an output waveform whose phase is opposite to the input waveform is fetched to a terminal 4. Subsequently, the output waveforms 5-8 whose voltage is shifted about 0.7V each are obtained from a level shifting circuit constituted of diodes D-1-D-5 connected in series between the terminal 4 and 9. When a voltage applied to terminals 11, 14, 17 and 20, and a voltage applied to terminals 13, 16, 19 and 22 are set in advance to the same voltage, and a voltage for operating each invertor circuit is denoted as Vth, an output waveform shown by (d) is obtained from outputs 12, 15, 18 and 21 of an invertor circuit, and an A/D converter with a high speed can be realized. |
