PURPOSE:To improve reliabiity and increase the movable extent of a magnetic head by sticking two nearly elliptic piezoelectric magnetic thin plates together, fitting the linear beltlike part to a rotary cylinder, and providing the magnetic head to the center part of the arcuate beltlike part. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic recording and reproducing device consists of a movable magnetic reproducing head 6, fixed magnetic recording head 7, stuck type piezoelectric driving element 8, fixture 9, and rotary cylinder 10. The head 7 is used for recording, and the head 6 is used for reproduction. The head 6 is movable according to the level of an applied voltage by applying the voltage to the piezoelectric driving element 8. Therefore, the head is put on a recording track completely in reproduction, so a clear image is obtained. The piezoelectric driving element 8 is formed by sticking a couple of nearly elliptic piezoelectric magnetic plates together and the linear beltlike part is fixed to the rotary cylinder 10, so the movable extent of the head 6 is increased. |
