The 'cine-colouring' technique provides the impression of movement on static surfaces which have been specifically prepared. It is based on the eye's persistence of vision, and the subtractive colour mixing occurring by combination of coloured light and a coloured object. - The technique may be applied in numerous fields - for example in typing secret documents. Two or three coloured ribbons may be used, with specific coloured light allowing selective viewing. A variety of data may be stored on a single support, using different colours to allow different data to be viewed. The technique may also be applied to stereoscopic television viewing, with the receiver incorporating a thin plastic transparent sheet, comprising a network of lenses.
